25th Anniversary Campaigns
Our 25 for 25 is a community fundraising campaign to grow our donor base by giving a steady, regular amount ($25/month) over 25 months. Our Vanguard Partner is Robert Granat, who is providing a challenge match for the 25 for 25 campaign. We also have a Silver Anniversary Partner campaign – make a donation of $250/month for 24 months.

With over 100 productions since its founding in 1986, Diversionary Theatre is our nation's third oldest continuously producing lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) theatre company. The mission of the theatre is to produce plays with LGBT themes that portray characters in their complexity and diversity, both historically and contemporarily.

Our productions have run the gamut – from the backdrop of AIDS to the continuing struggle for equal rights. Whether serious drama or whimsical takes on our culture, the theatre today reflects the diversity of our community and issues touching our lives. Our work addresses social changes while never forgetting how to enjoy ourselves as we navigate our place in history.

Dozens of artists and volunteers create great theatre each year, with hundreds of donors supporting the vision and thousands of patrons attending performances. Diversionary is a respected cultural institution in both San Diego's LGBT community and the region's vibrant theatre community.

The Anniversary Fundraising Programs and Annual Campaigns ensure the continued success of Diversionary Theatre.

 

We believe we have an obligation to celebrate this anniversary and prepare for the next 25 years.

Silver Anniversary Partner
Become a Silver Anniversary Partner with a donation of $250 a month for the next two years (or $3,000 a year). You'll receive two complimentary opening night subscriptions and a special listing in the show program. Your leadership gift by becoming a Silver Anniversary Partner will encourage other donors to support the artistic and community work of Diversionary Theatre.
