Community History Project

Diversionary Theatre and Lambda Archives of San Diego have teamed up for a creative project to showcase LGBTQIA+ community history across San Diego

Diversionary Theatre and Lambda Archives of San Diego have teamed up for a creative project to showcase LGBTQIA+ community history across San Diego, Northern Baja California, and the Imperial County region. Specifically, Diversionary will be incorporating images of the community in its soon-to-be-remodeled bar area!

MAKE A SUBMISSION

The deadline to submit images for consideration is March 7, 2021.
In late March/April, we will notify folx whose images are selected.
Imagine lounging with friends in Diversionary’s bar before a show, glancing down at the resin counter or at a wall, and seeing your and your friends’ faces looking back at you! Forever. It’s an exciting way to ‘go down in history’, right?

Lambda Archives will be selecting images from its collections for this project, but we thought it would be especially meaningful if members of the LGBTQIA+ community submitted images from their personal collections.
PLEASE NOTE: Unfortunately, not all images will be selected. However, ALL images will be maintained by Lambda Archives as part of the ‘Diversionary Theatre’s Community History Project’ collection. Copyright for the images will remain with the current owner. More information about requirements can be found on the submission form here.

If you have any questions regarding this Submission Form, please send an email to: info@lambdaarchives.org.

We do hope you’ll join us for this creative historical project! Ah, the anticipation…

In community,
