Gay Play Tuesday
Join us for Gay Play Tuesday on September 29th at 7pm, when we will read Quaint Honour by Roger Gellert (1958).
First staged in 1958 when homosexuality was still a crime in the UK, Quaint Honour takes audiences inside a late-1950s boarding school where gay relationships thrive behind closed doors. When an upperclassman accepts a reckless challenge to seduce a younger student, he triggers a dangerous game of psychological manipulation. What begins as a schoolboy dare quickly unravels into a web of corruption with devastating, irreversible consequences.
Quaint Honour is a thrilling and elegant look at “right” versus “wrong” under the weight of sexual oppression. Don’t miss this provocative exploration of young queer lives discovering their identities in spite of the law, the education system, and each other. Sign up to join!
