Thrill Me: The Leopold and Loeb Story
A San Diego Musical Premiere!
Book, Music and Lyrics by Stephen Dolginoff
Directed by Bret Young
Musical direction by Tony Houck
Choreography by Michael Mizerany
April 24-May 25, 2014
Starring: Michael Parrott & Scott Nickley
A killer musical about love and manipulation.
The year is 1924. Chicago. Two wealthy college kids sign a contract in blood, and lure a young boy to his death. These men are filled with demons – one is obsessed with crime, and the other with sex. Thrill Me: The Leopold & Loeb Story is based on the shockingly true tale of the infamous couple Nathan Leopold and Richard Loeb. This dangerous and titillating musical production draws on Leopold’s 1958 parole hearing as the framework to dramatize the series of events that led two rich law students to be forever remembered as ‘the thrill killers’. Diversionary Theatre is impassioned to indulge in a darker aesthetic by bringing this electrifying and critically-acclaimed piece to our audiences.
